Lips

Sharpen your blue eyeliner pencil and start drawing the outline of your upper lips. Determine if your lips are thicker or thinner than Mana's; most of us should look good with our lips slightly bigger than natural, so start drawing from one of the peaks on your upper lips towards the corner, staying outside of your lips a little bit. Repeat on the other side. Join the two lines you drew in a "V" with inwards bowing arms in the middle of your upper lip, dipping lower than the natural outline of your lips. The peaks of your lip outline should be rounded, not pointy like silent-film actresses.

If your lips are really thick and poofy, you may want to stay within your natural lipline, and dip the "V" a bit lower. However, don't dip so low that you end up with two separate "leaves" of upper lips! You should have something that look like a wide blue McDonald's Arches on your lips.

Sharpen your pencil again and start drawing your lower lips. Usually you can just follow your natural lipline here, or you can go slightly outside for thicker lips. It's OK if the line is uneven, and you will see why. Remember to connect the corners of your lips, but don't make them too far away from your natural lips or you will look like the Joker!

Fill in your lips with the pencil. This layer acts as a smudge-proof base for your lipstick or creme color, if you are using that. Apply the lipstick or creme color with a lip brush, making sure to get into all the small folds.

Carefully dust a thin layer of blue eyeshadow over your lips to set the lipstick or creme color. Your lips will feel a bit dry, but this layer of powder prevents the color from budging easily and saving you the trouble of touching up during the day. Of course, if you eat or lick your lips or *gasp* kisses someone, you will need to touch it up to keep it pretty-looking!
